Harland and Wolff, Ltd., had an exceedingly busy day on June 16 when they sent afloat three vessels and handed over another to her owners. The three vessels launched were the Laurentic, 18,700 gross tons, a triplescrew passenger steamer for the Canadian service of the White Star Line, which was launched from the East Yard, Belfast; the Grantleyhall, 5,000 gross tons, a cargo vessel for the West Hartlepool Steam Navigation Company, Ltd., built at the Greenock shipyard; and the Anglo-Saxon Petroleum Company’s motor-tanker Agatha, 300 gross tons, built at the Govan yard. The Lagunilla, a shallow draught oil tanker of 2,400 gross tons, for the Lago Shipping Company, was completed and delivered by the Belfast works on the same day, while the Icotea, a sister vessel, was delivered on Friday. These events afford a striking illustration of the immense capacity of this firm’s various establishments for the production of all classes of passenger and it'argo vessels.
