MINE OFFERED TO I.W.W.
LABOUR CHALLENGED By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. DENVER, Saturday. The Union Coal and Coke Company has offered to surrender mine holdings worth £35,000 at Pryor to the I.W.W organisation for the sum of one dollar. The purpose is to prove that its theories favouring the abolition of capital and the wage system are “assinine, ridiculous and preposterous.” The properties produce 8,000 tons of coal a month. The only condition is that a sufficient bond be provided to protect the company from personal or financial loss. If the offer is accepted all the current orders will be given to the I.W.W. —A. and N.Z.
