HARLEY CLUB REVIVED

FIRST GENERAL MEETING A general meeting was convened by the working committee on Thursday last, December 1, for the purpose of re-forming the Harley-Davidson Motor Cycle Club, which is also to embrace riders of other machines as associate members. The objects of the club are to promote social intercourse and short tours, week-end and Sunday trips for motor-cyclists, who prefer this form of recreation rather than for the sporting rider. In the winter months the club intends to hold social evenings in the form of dances, musical evenings, card parties, etc. A set of rules has been drafted by the working committee, who had met on two previous occasions. These rules were read over to the members and in some instances amended and confirmed later in the evening. The officers were then elected for the enusing 12 months, and are as follow: ELECTION OF OFFICERS Patron, Mr. C. E. Merson; president, Mx\ A. M. Coutts; vice-presidents, Messrs. P. Fletcher, A. B. Merson, I. Bartulovich. Secretary, Mr. A. F. Goutts; assistant secretary, Mr. V. G. Penny. Committee: Messrs. H. Moore, W. Cox, C. A. Rolfe, W. Evison, A. Moyle, C. Bergman; treasurer, Mr. W. S. Atkinson. Ladies’ committee: Mesdames A. Moyle. C. Merson, V. Penny, Keesing, Matthews, Rolfe, ITunter, Young and Avery. Trustees: Messrs. W. Cox, C. Merson, A. Merson. ASSOCIATE MEMBERS Associate members are to be allowed the same privileges and concessions as Harley riders with the exception that they will not be eligible as officers of the club and cannot vote on any question with regard to the general management of the club. They will, however, be allowed to elect one of their number to the management committee to voice their opinions and vote on any question which may be on the table. The annual subscription has been fixed at 5s for Harley riders, 2s 6d for ladies and 2s 6d for associate members. General meetings will be held at Merson’s Garage on the third Thursday in each month. The membership to date is 50. FORTHCOMING ACTIVITIES The following runs are to be held this month:
