Studebaker Commander sport roadsters made a clean sweep of the entire field in the 75-mile race for stock cars priced below 2,000 dollars on the Charlotte, N.C. Speedway, September 20. They were placed first, second and third respectively. The race was won by Ralph Hepburn, who crossed the finish line after averaging 88.56 miles an hour for the 75 miles. None of the three Commanders entered made any stops in the pits and all finished the 75-mile grind in perfect condition.
