MUSICAL RECITAL

SIGNOR COSTANTINi’S PUPILS A musical recital given by Signor Costantini and his advanced pupils in the Town Hall concert chamber last evening should benefit the funds of St. Benedict's School considerably. An excellent opei'atic programme was submitted, and was well received by a large audience. The quantity of the voices was well suited to the operatic excerpts and testified to sound training. Solos were given by Miss E. Herbert, Mrs. G. Menzies, Miss G. Ryan, Miss E. Ross, Miss R. Madden, Miss J. Rutland, Messrs: T. Bieleski, G. Fagan, J. Ford. C. Hadley, Knight, F. Boulter, J. Caldwell and Signor Costantini. Miss Herbert and Signor Costantini were heard in a duet, and Miss Ryan, Miss Madden, Mr. Fagan and Mr. Bieleski in a quartette. An elocutionary sketch was given by Miss T. McVeagh and Mr. Haydn Murray was heard in a violin solo. Miss L. Rae and Miss H. Asher, the accompanists, acquitted themselves well, and were also heard in a pianoforte duet.
