A great number left the crowded ! beaoh early, in order to escape the rush ! which set in about 4 p.m. and continued ; for three hours. The Tramway Department considers that between 40 and 50 trams could ; have been run on the route with advantage. As it was a three-minute I’bus service was accomplished.
