HOCKEY REP. MAKES MARK IN CRICKET
ANE of the parties to Green Lane's good opening stand on Saturday was Clive Watts, who, in the winter time, swings an international hoc - key stick. He has shown the same proficiency with the cricket bat, his four innings i n suburban cricket this vear reading 8, 36, 50, 39. His game on Saturday, when he went in with J. Elliott and made 39, was as fine a strike as he Has played this season. He is a first-class opening man where a great consideration is temperament. Brother Eric Watts, also a bent stick expert, has some good innings to his credit.
