Merritt arrived from the South by the Limited this morning. Mr. A. L. Wilson, of Auckland, returned from a visit by the Aorangi last night. The Hon. Robert Boyd. M.L.C., of Suva, arrived from Fiji by the Aorangi last evening. I)r. Waters was a passenger for Auckland by the Limited yesterday morning. The Hon. L. M. Isitt, M.L.C., arrived In Auckland yesterday morning from Wellington. Sir Edwin Mitchelson, M.L.C., arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. A. Marsden, Mr. W. M. Hopkins and Mr. G. L. Coutts arrived from the South this morning. Mr. Ernest Bell, who has been on a holiday in Honolulu, returned by the Aorangi last evening. Mr. Otway Falkiner and Miss Faliiner. of Sydney, will be passengers by the Aorangi to-night from Auckland. Mr. H. E. D. Bracey, who is a guest at the Hotel Cargen. will leave tonight for Sydney by the Aorangi. Mrs. F. W. Thring. wife of the wellknown entrepreneur, is a through passenger on the Aorangi. She has been visiting America. Mr. Cedric Ballantyne, who was architect for the Regent Theatre. Auckland. returned from a trip to Honolulu by the Aorangi last evening. Mr. J. Henrys, racing handicapper. who has been on a world tour, returned last evening by the Aorangi. He was accompanied by Mrs. Henrys.
Mr. C. G. White, barrister, of Wellington,fl arrived in Auckland last night by the Aorangi, with Mrs. White. They are staying at the Grand Hotel.
Mr. Hamish Mitchell, manager of General Motors Acceptance Co-opera-tion, is a through passenger on the Aorangi. He is accompanied by Mrs. Mitchell. Dr, and Mrs. Lane, of Adelaide, South Australia, who have been staying at the Hotel Cargen. will be passengers by the Aorangi to-night for Sydney. Mr. G. Bunting, superintendent for the Canadian Government Marine in Australia and New Zealand, is a through passenger on the Aorangi for Sydney. He is accompanied by Mrs. Bunting. Mr. E. F. Porter has been elected to the Allied Artists, an English art organisation. Mr. Porter is an Aucklander, but has lived in London for some years. Some of his works are hung in the Tate Gallery. Bishop W. R. Mounsey arrived by the Aorangi last evening, on his way to Australia. He is staying with Archbishop Averill for a few days. He was formerly Bishop of Labuan and Sarawak and is now connected with the Community of the Resurrection. Mr. W. T. McCoy, Director of Education in South Australia, who represented his State at the biennial conference of educationalists in London, is a through passenger by the Aors.ngi. Mr. McCoy returned via the United States. Mr. Angus ,Wilson arrived by the Aor?ngi last night to spend a three monJis* holiday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Wilson, of St. Heliers. He has been engaged in nublicity work in London for the last few years. Brigadier H. Wright, who is on his ! way to take up an appointment as; Migration Officer for the Salvation Army at Melbourne, is a through passenger by the Aorangi. The Brigadier, who is accompanied by Mrs. Wright, ; comtis from Montreal, where he held a similar position. They were at j Auckland by Major Green, M.C., New Zealand Migration Officer for the Army.
