TWO FEATURE FILMS “Rookies,” which will be shown at the Empire Theatre to-night, is a hilarious story of life in a citizens’ training camp, and introduces Karl Dane, the renowned “Slim” of “The Big Parade,” and George K. Arthur, who has appeared in humorous roles in many Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer pictures, including “Pretty Ladies,” “The Boob” and “The Waning Sex,” as a comedy team Sara Wood directed the new picture, which includes Louise Lorraine, Frank Currier, Tom O’Brien, Charles Sullivan, Lincoln Steadman and many other favourites in the well-chosen cast. "Lost at Sea,” featuring Huntly Gordon and Jane Novak, will also be shown. The story tells of the complications that arise after the sinking of an ocean liner and the unexpected return of the husband who was reported drowned. It would be unwise to reveal I the intensely interesting situation that I presents itself, as it would take the ! edge from the surprise twist in the ' \ -'Dory.
