EXPERT “CAT” BURGLARS USE HOSES AS ROPES
By Cable.—Press Association. — Copyright. Reed. 9.5 a.m, LONDON, Friday. SURPRISING success is attending a gang of burglars who are operating on London’s biggest stores. Barker’s, at Kensington, was astonishingly raided, expert “cat” burglars visiting each of the four floors, using hose-pipes found on the premises as ropes. Their haul consisted largely of jewellery valued at £3,000. —A. and N.Z.
