FOUR WINS ON END

HUNTLY BOXER’S RECORD Evan Davies, of Huntly, who had his fourth fight at Te Aroha this week, succeeded in gaining the verdict against Meehan under referee R. Meale. Four fights, four wins is the record of this promising young amateur from the coal town. He is billed to fight Mudgway at Waihi to-night, and the local boy should put up a good exhibition. An unassuming lad (fighting at Sst. 21b.), he is deservedly popular in the ring, and is one of the best Soccer players in the South Auckland Association. His record reads: Beat Stack (Glen Afton). 8.4; Verrall (Frankton). 8.4; Craig (Te Awamutu), 9.1; and Meehan (Te Aroha), 8.9.
