PROSECUTION FOLLOWS FIRST CASE HEARD (l lorn Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Friday. Wliat is understood to be the first case of its nature in New Zealand was heard by Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., to-day, when C. L. Innes and Company, brewers, Hamilton, were charged with manufacturing and offering for sale beer which contained more than the regulation amount of sodium chloride. A fine of £5 was imposed, the magistrate remarking on the feature that there did not appear to be any systematic analysis of beer.
