Top-dressing, better Pastures and better herds had achieved desirable result practically withut any Increase in the capital invested. Mr. Littlejohn cited several instances ot the remarkable success achieved hy [ben of the right stamp, and concluded by saying that all that the North required was population. A magnificent climate, a responsive soil, and thousands of acres were waiting for men r ' grit and experience, whose laboui *ou!d be handsomely repaid.
