ST. JOHN’S S.S., PAPATOETOE i The children of St. John’s Presbv -erian Sunday School gathered in chool hall lasts evening to celebrat their annual soiree and social even ing. The first part of the programml was devoted to the consumption of > j sumptuous repast, provided by tj,: members of the ladies' guild and th I parents of the children. The Kan was put in order, and a very enjoyable programme of musical items, dialogue, fid recitations was rendered by the members of the combined SundaT schools. The following children con tributed items: Beryl Bartlett, WinujJ Fricker. Kathleen Sim. Emily North' cast, N. Dawe. Maureen Morgan. Connie Sly. Mollie Sly, Hilary Wood. George Redslmw, Z. Roseveare. I. Sandford Jean Neill. Mavis Gubb. Alma Willis' Owen Wood, and a number of concerted items by the various classes. The opportunity was taken to present the prizes won by the children for attendance and school work durin* ■ the year. 15
