From time to time, during the past four years, playgoers of New Zealand have been reading and hearing of the wondrous beauty of “ROSE MARIE,’' and of the remarkable triumphs it has won in almost every part of the world. In London it ran for over three years, and in Sydney it attracted record audiences for eight months, and then had to be withdrawn in the zenith of its popularity owing to the fact that its phenomenal run there dislocated all the arrangements in regard to other attractions of J. C. Williamson, Ltd.. “ROSE MARIE” broke all known records in Melbourne, and in Adelaide, where the previous longest run of a play was three weeks, it ran for just on eight weeks. “Rose Marie 9 " The Musical Romance of the Canadian Rockies, with its glorious music by Rudolf Friml and Herbert Stothart, and its clever story and lyrics by Otto Harbach and Oscar Hammerstein the Second. THE FAMOUS TOTEM POLE BALLET. THE HAUNTING MELODIES OF “ROSE MARIE,” And “THE INDIAN LOVE CALL.” THE DANCES, THE COSTUMES, THE MUSIC, And A MAGNIFICENT CAST. “Rose Marie” is by far the costliest production ever staged in New Zealand, but, despite this fact, the prices for admission will be similar to those charged in Australia.
