PRINCESS

“LONESOME LADIES” There is a programme at the Princess Theatre this week which will appeal to everyone. The management certainly knows what the public like, and has provided it in great style. It has been stated on authority that there are more women than men in this world, and that maybe accounts for the title of the feature picture, “Lonesome Ladies.” It is a delightful comedy-

a clever plot, and a cast that will •urely attract. Anna Q. Nilsson and Lewis Stone are associated in the major roles, with Jane Winto, Doris Lloyd, Edward Martin dale, Fred Warren, and a host of others. They were at a dangerous stage of married life. He became a bachelor

husband, and she a single wife. But they soon found that the love they travelled so many hearts to find was waiting for them in their own little home. It is an age-old problem delivered up in truly modern style, and in a manner that must please. There is plenty of incident in tfiis picture, and the interest never flags. Some of the scenes have been cast in a cabaret, and there is enacted the major portion of the picture. Miss Nilsson is responsible for one of the finest character sketches of her career, and that is saying a lot. It is a picture that will be thoroughly enjoyed by all. Then comes the picture everyone has been waiting to see. That is the Dempsey-Tunney fight for the world’s championship, the fight that raised a storm of controversy. This is a faithful presentation of the great contest, and last night aroused the greatest enthusiasm. On the vaudeville side there is Tilton and West, the two clever artists, who delight with the latest song hits. Possessing a style of their own, this popular pair were accorded a hearty reception.
