HAVE YOU READ GALLIONS REACH?
Perhaas no modern novel has been waited for and discussed in advance and assured in advance of a public as Mr Tomlinson’s “Gallions Reach” has been Is it because expectations were raised too high and too soon that a note ol disappointment has seemed to creer into even the warmest praises of th book ? Or is it because Mr Tomlinson naturally does best In the essay of travel and place, and is hampered more than helped in fiction by his bent that way ?
