SCHOOL LOCKERS RIFLED

THEFT AT TAKAPUNA TEACHERS’ LOSS Over £4O was stolen from the teachers’ lockers at the Takapuna Grammar School yesterday. Included among this was one lady teacher’s monthly cheque. When the theft was discovered at noon the banks were communcated with to stop payment of the cheque, but it was too late. The thief must have cashed the cheque shortly after ransacking the lockers. The theft must have been committed early in the morning, after school began. Mr. C. M. Littlejohn, headmaster, communicated with the police as soon as the theft was made known to him.
