SEVEN YEARS’ SERVICE

LABOUR WORKER’S RECORD For seven years Mrs. A. M. Ballantyne has been secretary of the women's branch of the New Zealand Labour Party. Members expressed their appreciation of her enthusiastic and unselfish devotion to the movement by a presentation in the Farmers* tea-rooms on Wednesday afternoon. The president of the branch, Mrs. Rowlatt, in a eulogistic speech, hoped that Mrs. Ballantyne would be able always to help the movement with the benefit of her long experience. Mrs. E. Gibson, oldest member of the branch and a sterling worker the L a hour cause, also complimented Mrs. Ballantyne on her record.
