WHANGAREI V DARGAVILLE (From Our O ten Correspondent} DARGAVILLE. Thursday. 'Hie annual competitions between Whangarei and Dargaville fire brigades for the Citizens’ Shield, were held yesterday. Whangarei, holders of the shield, were defeated. In the six ♦ vents Dargaville scored 86 points and Whangarei 29. James, of Whangarei, heat all previous records for the one-man coupling event, finishing in 56sec.
