NEWMARKET’S PROTEST. —Disapproval of the proposal to set up a commission of inquiry to investigate the transport problem was registered last evening by the Newmarket Borough Council. The Mayor, Mr. S. Donaldson, moved the protest, and it was decided to refuse to accept citation to give information before such a commission. —S. P. Andrew.
