MASONIC INVESTITURE
NEW OFFICERS INSTALLED CEREMONIES AT CHRISTCHURCH (Special to TBB SUB.) CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. The installation of the Pro-Grand Master of the Masonic Grand Lodge of New Zealand took place at the continued sitting of the lodge last evening, at which the attendance was very largely supplemented by members of the lodges of Christchurch and surrounding centres. Mr. George Russell was installed for his second term of office, the installation of his Excellency, Sir Charles Fergusson, as Grand Master, standing over for a fitting opportunity on his recovery of health. Appointments to the offices conferred under his prerogative power had been made by the Grand Master, and the officers designated were invested as follow:—Deputy Grand Master, Mr. W. R. T. Leighton, Auckland: Senior Grand Warden, Mr. T. H. Williams, Christchurch: Junior Grand Warden, Mr. J. M. Forrester. Oamaru. | In the list of Provincial Grand Masters for the ensuing year, the only change from that of last year was that Mr W. Girling was appointed to .. . pj*o\ nee of Nelson .'iml Marlborough. in the place of Mr. A. G. 1 Shrimpton, who has retired, i After the investment of these ofTij cers, and also those elected by Grand Lodge at its morning sitting .the ProGrand Master delivered an address, in which he enlarged upon the services of Sir Charles Fergusson to the craft, and delivered a message from him expressing regret that illness had compelled his absence from tho communication, and deferred his re-installation.
