HANGED ON RIVER BANK
WORKER FOUND DEAD Press Association. PALMERSTON X., To-day. Alfred Thornton, aged 23, employed by road contractors at the Massey Agricultural College, who was missing yesterday afternoon, was discovered this morning hanging over the bank of the Manawatu River with a strap which was tied to a fence round his neck.
