MIDDLESEX HOME.—According to cable advice the Federal steamer Middlesex, which loaded in New Zealand and sailed from Wellington on October 20 for Home, arrived at London on November 27.
KARTIGI REPORTS.—According ro a radio message received by the local office of the Union Company, the cargo steamer Kartigi is expected to arrive in the stream at Auckland noon on Friday from Newcastle.
HINEMOA DELAYED.—The departure of the Government steamer Hinemoa from Auckland has been postponed until noon to-morrow, when she will leave this port for Niue Island. She is expected to return to Auckland on December 15.
VERONICA UNDOCKS.—The sloop r M.S. Veronica, which has been in dock for a month refitting, undocked this morning at nine o'clock and berthed at Sheerlegs Wharf alongside the Laburnum to continue her overhaul.
PORT DARWIN DELAYED.—Heavy weather yesterday delayed the loading of the C. and D. Line steamer Port Darwin at Napier. She was to sail from Napier at noon to-day for London, via Panama.
K A PONG A FROM SOUTH AUSTRALIA.—En route from South Australian ports, the Union Company advises that the cargo steamer Kaponga is expected to leave Melbourne to-day for Auckland, where she is due on December 8.
PACIFIC TRANSPORT’S MOVEMENTS.—Henderson and Macfarlane have received advice of the tramp steamer Pacific Transport’s itinerary. The vessel is to leave Auckland on Friday evening or Saturday morning for Westport for bunkers, thence she is to proceed to Makatea to load for Newcastle.
PASSENGER SERVICE TO GISBORNE. —The Northern Company has reduced its fares from Auckland to Gisborne. Single fares, formerly £3 15s, are now £3 ss, ana return fares have been reduced from £7 to £6. Passengers proceed to Tauranga by the Matangi, and thence to Gisborne by motor.
TOFUA DOCKING.—To have her hull cleaned and painted, the Union Company’s Island passenger steamer Tofua is to be docked at 6 a.m. to-morrow. The vessel will undock the following morning, and is scheduled to leave here at 11 a.m. next Saturday for Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa.
RIMUTAKA CLEARS PANAMA. En route from London and Southampton to Wellington, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and Napier, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s Rimutaka is reported to have arrived at Colon on Saturday last and cleared Balboa the next day. She is due at Wellington on December 21.
WAIPAHI IN PORT.—The Union Company advises that the Island fruit steamer Waipahi, which arrived at Auckland last evening from Westport, sails at noon on Friday for Suva, where she loads on December 8 for Auckland. The vessel is expected to return to this port on December 14. CANADIAN PROSPECTOR COMING.— Cable advice received states that the Canadian Government Line steamer Canadian Prospector sailed from Quebec last Sunday with cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. The vessel is expected to arrive here on January 9. TURAKINA SAILS TO-MORROW.—To complete loading for London, Avon- , mouth, Liverpool and Glasgow, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Turakina is to be dispatched at noon tomorrow for Napier, Wanganui, Wellington and Lyttelton. She is scheduled to sail finally from the latter port on December 15, and will go Home via Panama. CARGO FROM LI V E R POOL.—With West of England cargo for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton. Port Chalmers and New Plymouth, the Federal steamer Hertford is reported to have left Liverpool last Saturday for Auckland, where she is due on January 3. The New Zealand Shipping Company will be the local agent. MAHIA FOR WANGANUI.—Leaving Wellington this afternoon for Wanganui, the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the steamer Mahia will return to Wellington, thence proceed to Bluff, Lyttelton and Port Chalmers to complete loading. She is expected to clear the Otago port finally on December 20 for London, via Punta Arenas and Montevideo. REMUERA AT WELLINGTON. —A> riving at Wellington yesterday afternoon from Timaru, the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the liner Remuera leaves Wellington again to-morrow for Napier, Gisborne and Auckland to complete her loading for Home. She is due here on December 7, and is announced to sail finally from Auckland on December 10 for Southampton and London, via SYDNEY STEAMERS.—The Ulimaroa sails from Auckland at 11 a.m. on Friday for Sydney, and the Marama and the Maunganui both leave Sydney the same day at 3 p.m. for New Zealand, *he former vessel for Auckland, and the latter vessel for Wellington. All the three vessels are due at their arrival ports next Tuesday morning. AORANGI NEARS SUVA.—Due at Suva at 2 p.m., to-morrow from* Vancouver, via Victoria and Honolulu, the Union Company advises that the R.M.M.S. Aorangi leaves at 8 p.m., the same day for Auckland. The vessel arrives here on Sunday, and is in the meantime announced to sail from Auckland at 11 p.m next Monday for Sydney, in continuation of her voyage.
PORT HARDY’S MOVEMENTS.—The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company advises that the C. and IX Line’s steamer Port Hardy leaves Bluff to-day for Lyttelton, thence Wellington, Gisborne, and Auckland, to complete her loading. She is due here on December 12, and is scheduled to sail finally from this port on December 15 for New York, Boston, Halifax, and London, via Panama. TONGARIRO’S PROGRAMME. The local office of the New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the steamer Tongariro arrived at Napier this morning from Dunedin, and leaves at 11 o’clock tonight for Auckland, where she is due on Friday morning. After picking up the local portion of her cargo, the vessel then proceeds to Napier, thence Wellington and Lyttelton to complete her loading. The Tongariro is scheduled to sail finally from Lyttelton on December 21 for London, via Panama. PORT SYDNEY TO LOAD.—Due at New Plymouth' on December 12 from Australia, the C. and D. Line’s motorship Port Hardy will commence loading there for Home. She will also load at Auckland, Bluff, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, Wanganui, and Wellington. The vessel is due at Auckland on December 16, and is scheduled to sail finally from Wellington on January 14 for London, via Panama. The Farmers’ Co-opera-tive Auctioneering Company will act as the local agents. PORT FREMANTLE’S ITINERARY.— Heather, Roberton, and Co. have been advised that the C. and D. Line’s motorship Port Fremantle is due at New Plymouth on December 5 from Australia, to commence Homeward loading. From the Taranaki port the vessel will come to .Auckland, and is due here on December 12. On December 14 the Port Fremantle leaves for Gisborne, thence Lvttelton, Wellington, and Napier to complete her loading, and is expected to clear the Vastmentioned port on Dec timber 30 for London, via Panama,.

Sydney, New South j Wales. has carried out successful offu ial i trials in the Firth of Clyde, in the course ] of which a mean speed of about 13 knots i was attained. A single-deck vessel with | quarter, bridge, and forecastle decks and i classed 100 Al at Lloyd’s, she is 250 ft. | in length, 37ft. in breadth, and 17ft. 4in. I in moulded depth, and of about 1,450 tons j gross. VESSELS AT COLON.—En route from Southampton to New Zealand ports, the Shaw. Savill and Albion steamer Tama* roa, and the New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Rimutaka. are both reported to have reached Colon last Sunday. The former vessel, which has passengers for Wellington and cargo for discharge at Wellington and Auckland, is due at Wellington on December IS and at Auckland a week later. The Rimutaka, which has pasenger? for disembarkation at Wellington, has cargo lor discharge at Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Napier, and is expected to arrive at Wellington on December 21.
ULIMAROA ARRIVES.— ShortIy after 1 p.m., yesterday the Hud da rt, . farker a tea mer Ulimaroa, arrived in the stream at Auckland from Sydney, and berthed later at the Queen's itharr to land her nassengers, mails and cargo. The Ulimaroa'sailed from Sydney last Friday at 1 p.m., and experienced dull weather with moderate seas until Sunday, when the vessel ran into a strong north-wes-terly gale which lasted all clay.
