NO ONE TO BLAME FOR JOCKEY’S DEATH
TAKAPUNA FATALITY CLUB COMMITTEE’S FINDING The judicial committee of the Takapuna Jockey Club held an inquiry yesterday into the death ot' the jockey R. H. Reilly which resulted from au accident during the running of the Rakino Handicap on Monday. All the riders, with the exception of the apprentice Bryce, rider of Look Out, together with Mr. J. N. Heslop, a steward of the club, Mr. S. E. Langstone, ambulance officer, and a Press photographer, who happened to be near the scene of the accident, gave evidence. The committee passed a unanimous opinion that the happening was entirely of an accidental nature, no blame being attachable to any rider in the race.
