PRINCESS
BIG PROGRAMME TO-MORROW One of the foremost examples of a popular film team is Lewis Stone and Anna Q. Nilsson, whose latest co-feat-ured picture is First National’s ’‘Lonesome Ladies,” the peppy and colourful domestic comedy, which will be screened at the Princess Theatre tomorrow. A high-water mark in the comedy team work of this noted pair, reached in “Midnight Lovers ” is exceeded by “Lonesome Ladies,” which is one of the cleverest domestic tangle stories that has reached the local screen. Stone and Miss Nilsson begin the picture as a married couple, loving but a trifle foolish, and end it happy but more experienced! With the stellar combination at the head of the cast are a group of film beauties and notable players including Jane Winton, Fritzie Ridgeway, Loris j Lloyd, Edward Martindel, Captain E. H. Calvert, Le Sacia Mooers, Fred Warren and Grace Carlisle. The much-heralded film of the fight for the world's heavyweight boxing championship between Lempsey and Tunney will also be screened at the Princess Theatre to-morrow. Mr. E. A. Craig, president of the Northern Boxing Association, stated after a private view, that this picture should prove interesting to those who are interested in the sport, and the special features of this attraction are, the clean, straight leading, with lefts, beautiful footwork, and cool boxing and evasiveness employed by Tunney, and the aggressiveness dogged perseverance and strength exhibited by Lempsey. He considers this film is well worth seeing, photography splendid, and the best fight film he had ever witnessed.
