MAJESTIC
“CRADLE SNATCHERS” Only two more nights remain for Majestic patrons to attend the great laughter programme at the Majestic Theatre, where “Cradle Snatchers” is the chief feature on the programme. For sheer fun this picture has had no equal on the screen in y ears. The idea of three wives hiring three college boys to play the parts of Romeos to give their husbands a taste of their own medicine, worked out as it is in this Fox Films farce, appeals to the sense of humour and the justice of things. Of course one of the wives, played by Louise Fazenda, forgets that it is strictly business with her hired lover, and he, too, gets interested and forgets that he is only to play a part. Then there is the blond viking, who is chosen by another wife, played by Ethel Wales. He is very timid in the beginning, but later —well, he becomes interested. And then Dorothy Phillips, the wife who concocted the scheme of getting even with the husbands and finds she has lost control of the situation until the hubbies return. But see this picture for yourself and enjoy an hour*and a-half of laughter. Supporting the feature, is a bright programme, comprised of the Majestic News, Eve’s Review, a hilarious comedy, “Gentlemen Prefer Scotch.” and a New Zealand scenic, “Lake Wakatipu—Gem of Otago.” Mr. Whiteford-Waugh and his Majestic Orchestra provide an excellent musical programme, arid specially feature Suppe’s popular overture, “Jolly Robbers.” as a musical interlude. Art Kamo, the wizard of the banjo - mandolin, presents a ne\v programme of whirlwind musical variety.
