WELLINGTON, Tuesday. In view of tl>e fact that the opera- ; tious of the Motor-Omnibus Traffic Act are under consideration by the ! Government, the Public Petitions Committee recommended to the House jof Representatives to-day that the \ petit ion of James Aggers, and others jof Auckland, for the amendment of ! the Act, should be held over until the ■ next session. No recommendation was made by the Public Petitions Committee on the petition of James Egan, of Auckland, \ who sought a compassionate allowance, as owing to blindness he is un- : able to support his children. Favourable consideration was; re- ■ commended for the petition of Michael Johu Coyle and two others, of Auck- : land, for remission of stamp and gift 1 duty, the committee stipulating that satisfactory provision should be made for the public to have undisputed i access to the property iu question as t a sports ground.
