PEA RIFLE ACCIDENT

BOY INJURED AT PIOPIO Suffering from a bullet wound in the abdomen, Lawrence McKain, aged 10. residing at Pio Pio, was admitted to the Te Kuiti Hospital on Saturday evening. His injuries were sustained when a cartridge, which was being forced into the breecli of a pea rifle the boy was using, exploded. Tie was attended to by the local doctor. and then brought into the Te Kuiti institution, where he is progressing satisfactorily.
