< From Our Own Correspondent j WHANGAREI, Sunday. A light wind and calm sea characterised the sailing of the second heat of the Palmer Cup contest during the week-end. Five boats crossed the starting line. Rangi arrived home first with Snipe. Whizzbang and Scout in that order. Corrected times did not affect the placings. The points now secured in the two heats are:—Ranger, first and third, 7 points; Snipe, second and third. 5: Scout, first, 5; Whizzbang. second. 3.
