FETE AT INFIRMARY
ONEHUNGA ORGANISERS The Onehunga branch of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliary has every reason to feel gratified at the success of tile garden fete given to Ihe inmates of the infirmary on Saturday afternoon.
To the music of Ingall s jazz band, a number of young ladies delighted the ; old folk with a variety of ballet and | Hl &hland dances, and the performance 1 of the Onehunga Citizens’ Band v.-, s j a i.®° highly appreciated. During the I afternoon both bands visited the slid - | tors, and entertained those unable to j leu.\e their beds. Among those present were: Mr \v J. Jordan, iI.P ; Mr. John Rowe, chair-' man ot the Infirmary Committee; i Alayor and Mayoress of Onehunga Mr and Mrs. W. C. Coldicutt; Councillors H. A. tatoupe and T. Moor, of On-.-hunga; Mrs. Campbell. Mavoress of Auckland: and Mrs. Alfred Kidd, president of the Auckland Hospital Auxiliarv. In opening the function. Mr. Jordan paid a tribute to the zeal and energy of the president of the Onehunga branch of the auxiliary, Mrs. W. i\ Coldicutt. together with the committee of 57 ladies associated with her. • There are some things and person s that we are in the habit of associating together,” he said.
