ROLE FOR BARRYMORE Feodor Chaliapin, Russian opera star, will not make his motion picture debut in D. W. Griffith’s next United Artists’ picture, “Drums of Love.” Mr. Griffith has just announced through United Artists that he is negotiating for the services of Lionel Barrymore for the part offered Chaliapin; and that although no contract has yet been signed, it is highly probable Barrymore will play the role of the elder brother, Don Cathos, in the Garritt Lloyd original story. Mary Philbin. Don Alvarado and Tullv Marshall have already been signed.
