“MEET THE PRINCE”
FINE COMEDY-DRAMA | “Meet the Prince” is a delightful !comedy -drama, a P.D.C. production released through First National, with Joseph Schildkraut, Marguerite Be La Motte, Julia Faye and a strong supporting cast. The story is an excellent one, full of drama, humour and romance, working up to a unique climax, and dealing mainly with the vicissitudes of a Russian prince, who in America is merely a humble butler, but who, however, practises such effective ! cave-man methods that he eventually wins the woman he adores. Ultra-mod-ern in theme, therefore, it brings together a great variety of interesting ; characters, the hero, a penniless Russian prince, a Western oil millionaire, ! a demure princess, an original aunt, | an dseveral intelligent dogs, form the entertaining pot-pourri of which a very i interesting picture results. Some very elaborate settings are introduced, pur- ; ticularly the replica of the reception | rooms of the Grand Buke’s palace at i Petrograd, an absolute relevation of !architectural splendour. Joseph Schildkraut is fine as the “Prince.” while as *he "Princess” his sister, Julia Faye, [displays very fine comedy technique.
