TE AROHA TENNIS

NEW COURTS OPENED The official opening of seven new tennis courts took place in Te Aroha on Saturday afternoon. The ceremony was performed by Mr. R. R. Somers, patron, and the Mayor, Mr. R. Coulter. The courts cost about £SOO, plus the land. It is intended to hold a tournament on a large scale. With the lawns at the Government Domain there will be a total of 15 courts available. The Mayor advised that a Government grant of £3OO had been made for an additional croquet lawn in the domain.
