ENDURANCE FLIGHT
KINGSFORD SMITH DELAYS ENGINE ADJUSTMENTS By Cable. — Press Association.—Copyright Received 9.5 a.m. SAN FRANCISCO, Sunday. The scheduled endurance flight of the Southern Cross has been postponed until Monday. Captain Kingsford Smith stated that the reason was a variation of a thousandth part of an inch in an adjustment of- the motors. He named December 6 as the possible date of his departure for Australia, and announced that the Southern Cross had been rechristened Spirit of California. GILES WILL TRY AGAIN Captain F. A. Giles has announced that he intends to make another attempt to fly to Australia, and that he will leave again within 10 days by the light of the next full moon. The airman appears to be elated over the expression of confidence which he has received from M. W. Rosewarne, who is financing the flight. He is making plans to take his airplane to San Francisco from San Simeon, at which place he was forced down. —A. and N.Z.
