VERSATILE GIRLS
INTERHOUSE PRIZE-GIVING
On the concert platform as well as in the sports arena Auckland’s interhouse girls seem to be equally at home, judging by the bright and entertaining programme given at the Town Hall last evening. The occasion was the prize-giving ceremony in connection with the recent held by the Auckland Interhouse Girls’ Sports Association. There was a good attendance of the girls and their friends. Tho programme opened with a minstrel item by members of the J.C.L. team, followed by two amusing sketches by Miss Whitaker and, Miss Brown, of Greers. Highland dances, by Miss Atfield and Miss Fitzwiliiams, of Somerset team, a duet, “The Keys of Heaven,” by Miss Williamson and Miss Guthrie, and a solo dance by Miss Sanford, of the M. and C. team, were also contributed. In a brief speech Miss Farland, president of the association, congratulated the girls on the fine sporting spirit shown, then presenting the cups and other prizes won.
