WELLINGTON LOANS
NEARLY £300,000 APPROVED Press Association. WELLINGTON, Tuesday. Three loans, totalling £290,875, were carried at a poll to-day when 7,137 ratepayers voted out of a total on the roll of 28,853. For the street paving loan of £201.000 the voting was 3,548 in favour and 3,314 against. For construction of footpaths loan of £63,000 a total of 4,059 voted in favour and 2,818 against. For the conveniences loan of £26,87!* the voting was: For, 4,025, against. 2,762.
Tbe loan of £290,875 when presented in one issue was rejected by the ratepayers in September last.
