WOMEN ELDERS
PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH APPROVES Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, To-day. At the Presbyterian General Assembly to-day the proposal to admit women as elders of the church was carried by a large majority. The proposal must be considered by separate presbyteries again, under the Barrier Act. before becoming the law of the church, but already many have intimated their approval.
