FLIGHT ACROSS PACIFIC PLANE SECRETLY BUILT Reed. 12.7 p.tp. NEW YORK, Tues. , The United States'Navy is secretly building a seaplane with a cruising radius of 3,000 miles, which will attempt to fly across the Pacific in 1928. The plane will be ready for trial flights within two -weeks. If they are successful she will go to San Francisco, and thence to Japan t> r the Philippines, via Honolulu, with a possibility that she will then continue her flight around the world. — Sun.
