SELECTION OF ALL BLACKS’ MANAGER
THAMES VALLEY’S ATTITUDE (From Our Own Correspondent.) PAEROA, Tuesday. The question of the appointment of the manager of the All Blacks for the South African tour was discussed by the Management Committee of the Thames Valley Rugby Union on Saturday night. Mr. J. W. Silcock presided over a good attendance of merobrs. A resolution was passed to the eiien that the union was of the opinion that the manager of the South African tour should not be confined to the ranks ol the Management Committee, and that nominations should be obtained from the different unions, and a selection made, either by a general meeting of delegates, or by postal ballot. It was decided to nominate Dr. Lawrence, of Te Aroha if he would accept nomination, failing which supper*, be given to Mr. Frost, chairman of tne Auckland Rugby Union. In the event of Dr. Lawrence or Mr. Frost . to accept nomination it was decided support Air. McLeod’s nomination.
