Dr. Cyril H. Tewsley left by train tor Wellington last evening. Mr. J. W. Court returned to Auckland this morning by the Jlaunganui from Sydney. Mr. Ernest Davis was a passenger for the South by the Limited last evening. Mr. C. H. Blundell, of Wellington, returned to Mew Zealand this morning by the Maunganui. Messrs. C. H. Johnston and K. J. Kirk w ere among the passengers who arrived this morning by the Maunganui. The Hon. J. B. Gow, M.L.C., and the Hon C. T. Carrington, M.L.C.. went South by the Limited last-evening. Mr. B. E. Champtaloup, service officer, tuckl-md Automobile Association, left for the South last evening. yj r . c. V. Houghton, with his wife and Miss Houghton, returned by the Maunganui this morning. They have been on a visit to England and Australia. yj. F. \V. Furkert, Engineer-in-Chief, Pubiic Works Department, travelled by the Limited as far as Frankton Junction this morning. Captain J. R. Middleton, the newlyappointed Director of Naval Reserves, left for his headquarters at Wellington by train last evening. Mr. F. J. Forbes, treasurer of the Australian Breeders’, Owners’ and Trainers’ Association, arrived from Sydney this morning by the Maunganui and left later for Rotorua. Mr F. W. Furkert and Mr: F. T. M. Kissetl, engineer-in-chief and undersecretary and chief electrical engineer, respectively, of the Public Works Department, have left Wellington for Arapuni on a short visit of inspection. Dr. E. S. Stevenson, who has been on a" six weeks’ tour of Australia, returned to Auckland this morning by the Maunganui. He was accompanied by Mrs. Stevenson and Miss Stevenson. Mr. G. N. Brown, of Jersey City, United States, who arrived by the Niagara from Sydney yesterday, is on a business trip and will return home after visiting the chief cities of New Zealand. Dr. C- A. Taylor, son of Mr. H. P. Taylor, of Auckland, who has been appointed Senior Resident Officer and Medical Tutor under the direction of the professors at the Dunedin Hospital, intends to leave England for New Zealand by the Cornwall on December 3.
