“NON-ELECTRIC”
Sir,— I was a patron of the Otahuhu Trotting Club’s meeting on Saturday, and while the officials deserve the greatest praise for the manner in which the racing was conducted, those responsible for the running of the outside totalisator should be censured for the way in which they performed their duties. At all times there was congestion around the ‘‘tote” house. Those who collected off one race were lucky if they saw the preliminary of the following race. .The clerks on the pay-out windows were very slow in issuing the dividends. I was fortunate enough to be on the winner of the last race, but although by no means last in the queue, did not receive mv dividend until nearly 6.30 p.m. Surely the time Is ripe for an electotalisator at Alexandra !Fark instead of the present inefficient machine. “KOHARA.’
