Biggins, who has been **1?" fronted handicapper to the Dunedin Jockey Club, claims a fairly lengtny connection with racing and also tne Ught-harness branch of sport. H has always trained horses carrying nis '‘W7l colours, and many years ago won with Waikaia, Outram, Zero, n=er fAly. Battler and Blizzard, and in more recent years owned and trained kuh 'ogan. Scion and Killowen. He has "Iso owned several others of lesser note. . -Mr. Biggins owned and trained - Hogan when the Kilbroney gelding won the Great Easter and Templeton Handicap of 1919. and so has “M---->‘shed the fact that he has had Ucal and more than superficial inter rst in the sport with which he now as sumes a most important position. Soon Shakes It Off The iLrnond colt Agrion looks really "ell at present, and the successful outing he had in the New Zealand Derby has brightened him up a good deal. However, he still displays signs of soreness, but his leg trouble seems to have huie effect upon him. Prior to tne herby he pulled up very lame after a working gallop, and at the time he cer!hnly looked an unlikely starter in the hiue ribbon event. Nevertheless, two hays later he came back to the tracks fit and as well as ever, so it will be that the ailment that affects him “ not of a very serious nature.
