METAL TAKES PRIZE
WAIKATO SHOW CHAMPION TROTTERS AND PACERS SECTION Metal, the aristocratically-bred young sire by Don Pronto from Ami Bells, won the championship at the Waikato Show last week in the trotters and pacers’ section. The win was a very popular one, as both the horse and his owner, Mr. Jim Johnston, are well known throughout the Waikato. Metal, who is rendering good service to breeders for the second year
in succession, is said by good judges to be one of the greatest young sires seen in the Dominion, and this opinion is further endorsed by the appearance of his stock. Given the opportunity of mating with blood mares Metal, who is bred on the best of lines, will get stock that will make future turf history in this Dominion.
