Under the terras of the will of the late Professor Adrian Stokes, the famous scientist and pathologist, who died at Lagos when he was investigating yellow fever, there is a bequest of £4,000 to help on the research work in which he was keenly interested. The money is left to Dr. Geoffrey Rake, a young student who worked J under Dr. Stokes, to assist him in continuing his pathological research work. A. and N.Z. Professor Adrian Stokes was one of the foremost authorities on tropical diseases. He died in September from yellow fever, contracted while he was on research work in Lagos, West Africa. Just prior to his death, he announced that he had solved the question of how to attaclf yellow fever, and that only carelessness i would defeat the ‘complete solution.
