LATE SCRATCHING

THE ASHHURST MEETING MAIDEN DIVISION UNLIKELY (Special to THIS SUN.) PALMERSTON NORTH, To-day. Deluge has been sent home, and may miss the Feilding meeting as well as Ashhurst. IT. Wiggins to-morrow rides Anolo and Flying Shot, and Roy Reed will be on Royal Game, Tom Byrne and Imitation. Wembley and Lombardo have been scratched for the Ashhurst Hurdles. In the Maiden the scratchings are Lady Raven, Miss Boniform and Broad Acre. Two more defections are required to obviate a division, and these will probably be forthcoming, so that the Maiden is almost certain to be run in one heat. Miss Mercia has been scratched for both the Siberia and Komako Hacks, Archon for the Komako and Gorge Handicaps, and Road Hog for the Raumai Handicap. The course is in good order for tomorrow’s racing.
