Mr. R. T. Edmonds arrived from the South by the Limited this morning. Mr. C. C. Ah Chee, of Auckland, was a passenger by the Niagara to-day from Sydney. Mr. J- K. Lowe, district railways engineer at Auckland, left by train for Wellington last evening. Dr. J- F. C. Moore, superintendent of ♦he Greymouth Hospital, arrived in Auckland this morning on holiday. Mr. G. Huxley, a member of Mr. Amerv's staff, is a cousin of the noted author, Mr. Aldous Huxley. The Hon. Mark Cohen, M.L.C.. arrived in Auckland from the South to welcome Mr. and Mrs. Amery. Captain R. J. Bird, late of the Indian Army, is leaving Auckland by the Hinemoa to-day for Norfolk Island. Mr. J. W. Collins, secretary for the Department of Industries and Commerce, is staying at the Star Hotel. Mr. Justice Herdman, who is to preside at the Supreme Court sessions commencing in Hamilton to-morrow, left Auckland last evening. Mr. W. J- Jordan, M.P. for Manukau, who has recovered from his recent indisposition, left for Wellington yesterday. Captain W. Curtis is a through passenger for Vancouver by the Niagara, which arrived in Auckland to-day. Messrs. T. G. Burton, F. Campbell. J T. Spiers and W. 11. Howey arrived hi Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. Mr. E. Casey, divisional superintendent, North Island railways, returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. Sir Francis Bell, Leader of the Legislative Council, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. He will remain in Auckland with Mr. Amery. Mr. Cyril Lloyd, M.P. for Dudley. England, arrived by the Niagara this morning and is staying at the Northern Club. Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Don. of Mount Eden, who have been on an extended visit to England and the Continent, returned to Auckland by the Niagara this morning. Captain Charles McArthur, of Wellington, arrived in Auckland this morning to attend the funeral of his late friend and shipmate, Captain Scott. The Prime Minister, the Right Hon. J. G. Coates, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning to meet the Right Hon. L. S. Amery, Secretary of State for the • Dominions. He is accompanied by Mrs. Coates, and will return to Wellington this evening. Mr. H. V. Bell, of the Auckland staff of the New Zealand Shipping Company, has been promoted to manager of the combined offices of the New Zealand and the Union Companies in Gisborne. Mr. H.
