MIREUSONTA’S SPRINT (Special to THE SUXJ LEVTN", Saturday. The annual meeting of the Levin Racing Club was held to-day in nice weather, and there was a record attendance. Recent rain had made the track heavy, but it improved as the racing went on. The totalisator put through £19,112, against £18,573 last year. Paitonu Not Headed A good field contested the Levin Cup, Paitonu being the favourite. Waicullus led through the straight from Royal Game, Beaumont and Kilmiss, but on entering the back, Paitonu pushed to the front and from there on -was not headed, eventually winning by half a length from "Waicullus, with Anolo third, and Euphonium fourth. Henna’s Good Run In a very even betting race for the Lake Hack Handicap, Henna was slightly a better favourite than Twink, Volplane and Vexatious. When the field was crossing the top Twink was in charge from Exhibition and Irish Lad, but Henna came round the field with a good run and won nicely by over good third and Vexatious fourth, a length from Twink. Arehon was a Winner Well Handled The bracket. Decoy Bird and Lausanne, was favoured for the McDonald Memorial Handicap, with Orcades and Royal Land next in demand. Mireusonta lea till nearing the straight from Royal Land and Orcades. Orcades took charge at the bottom *of the straight, but Mireusonta, well-handled, came again and got up to win by a neck from Orcades. Deluge was a fair third, and Lausanne fourth. Rosebush, Eka, Silver Tray, Carrigallen, Chips and Helotis was the order at the end of half a furlong, and crossing the top Eka took charge, leading into the straight from Carrigallen, Chips, Helotis, Shining Star, The Raider and Miss Pat.
