AN OLD BARONY By Cable.—~Press Association.—Copyright LONDON, Saturday. The death has occurred of Earl Cathcart, aged 65. —A. and N.Z. Earl Cathcart, the fifth holder of the title, was born in 1862, and succeeded his brother in 1911. He was for some time in the Yorkshire Regiment. He jnarried in 1919 Mrs. de Grey Warter, whom he divorced in 1922. His son, Lord Greenock, who was born in 2 919, succeeds to the title. The barony of Cathcart dates from 2447. The Countess of Cathcart was the subject of considerable discussion a little time ago when she was refused admission to the United States, being classed as an “undesirable immigrant.”' She spent some, time on Ellis Island, and has since written a play, and for a time exploited the publicity she had obtained by appearing in theatrical ventures.
