POSITION IN BRITAIN Bn Cable. —Press Association. — Copyright ‘ . LONDON, Saturday. Official figures issued by the Ministry of Labour show there was a decline in the membership of trades unions in Britain for 1926 of 289,000 compared with 1925. The principal decreases were in the unions covering the mining and transport industries. The International Labour Bureau at Geneva has complete statistics showing that there are 37,000,000 trades union members in the world.—A. and N.Z.
